Vital Stats
Name: Adi Hyttenberg
What got you started in R/C racing? In the mid 80's a friend got a Tamiya Hornet for Christmas and I was hooked after driving it. Acquired a few Tamiya cars and then got a hold of an RC10 after visiting an off-road race track. Took a long break up until a few years ago when a friend took me to a local off-road track and saw 1/8 th nitro buggies bombing 30 foot gaps at 40 mph… the itch came back!
What is your favorite r/c track? Sun Valley (KZ), CA
What are your career goals ? Retire.
Favorite food? Hmmmm…overall Italian, but nothing beats moms good old home cooked Swedish meatballs!
What is the best memory in your r/c racing career? Even though I didn't win this one, TQ'ing "The Dirt Nitro Challenge" was quite exciting.
Favorite movie of all time? Radd and of course Rudy.
What intrigues you most about R/C Gas Car Racing? How it has grown into supercross style of tracks, with fierce power and competition!
Favorite type of music? Alternative rock, but good old 80's isn't so bad either.
Who do you admire most in the r/c industry and why? Adam Drake…I don't know him personally, but I have been around him and raced with/against him as of lately. He is a class act on and off the track and a great racer!
Favorite Full Size Car? Porsche 911 GT3. But my Veteran 65' VW Bug is a close second.
What are your R/C Racing goals? To be competitive at a pro level and help out as many people as possible getting started.
What are your goals outside of the r/c industry? To do onto others as I would want done onto me!
Who is your idol? My Mom!
If you had all the money in the world, what would your hobby be? I'm doing it!
If you could change one thing in r/c racing, what would it be and why? Get the US public to embrace it like it is in the European markets as a form of legit car racing…grand stands at tracks filled with people, etc.
How much do you charge for your autograph? I think I might have to pay them first…LOL
