Vital Stats Name; Joe Parent What got you started in R/C racing? A friend of mine brought his Tamiya Boomerang to a summer hockey tournament back in 87 , I seen it , and loved it. My dad and I went to a local hobby shop by the hobby store by the hotel to check things out, he ended up buying me my first RC car ..a Tamiya Falcon..and its been going on since then. What is your favorite r/c track? Great Canadian Hobbies What are your career goals ? Keep my family happy and make enough money to retire someday Favorite food? Steak , and Crab legs What is the best memory in your r/c racing career? The first time I race, it was a track we called Tranby Track, it was with my Falcon, I learn so much there,and got to meet some great people there that I still race with today Favorite movie of all time? SLAP SHOT What intrigues you most about R/C Gas Car Racing? How much it is like full size car racing , everything relies on maintenance and preparation ,and the ability to be fast and be able to make it to the end of the race. Favorite type of music? Alternative rock , rock n' roll Who do you admire most in the r/c industry and why? There is a few guys but the one that sticks out the most is my ex-teammate Dave Henry, he taught me what it is to be a sponsored driver, he's been at it a longtime and can't think of too many others that could do it like him..he is a great teammate doesn't hide anything always willing to help out a teammate or fellow racer even if it is a driver of a different car manufacture .
